Class of 1964 40th Reunion

| The WHS Class of 1964 convened for their 40th anniversary reunion June 25-26, 2004. Friday night activities featured a walk "On the Hill" and a dance at the Sterling Drive In. The group dined and danced Saturday night at the Bluefield Holiday Inn. On this and the next few pages, Russell and Betty Chaos Rice share some of their memories of this event: |

Reminiscing:: "I miss the first day of school each Fall; the fun of learning who my teachers would be for each class and, best of all, discovering that my best friend or maybe a girl I had a crush on, would be in one of my classes. The excitement of once again seeing those friends who somehow disappeared during the summer was great, but maybe even better was the excitement of getting to know the people behind those new faces that appeared every year, especially if it was another pretty gal! The downside of autumn was searching for a familiar face at school only to learn that he or she must have moved away during the summer."
